TES Canada provides in-service welding engineering and materials advisory services for operators performing welding on equipment and pipelines that are in service, pressurised, or contain residual process fluids. In-service welding introduces specific engineering challenges — including hydrogen-assisted cracking risk, burn-through potential, thermal cycle management, and post-weld heat treatment requirements — that require careful procedure development, engineering analysis, and field oversight.

Services include development and review of in-service welding procedures to CSA Z662, API 1104, ASME IX, and ASME B31.8; hot tapping and pipeline sleeve repair welding engineering; hydrogen-assisted cracking risk assessment and burn-through analysis; preheat and post-weld heat treatment specification; WPS/PQR development, qualification, and review; and welding automation and robotics advisory for field and shop applications.
